Condition Survey
When submitting an application for listed building consent, which seeks to replace historic or original features, for example windows, doors, floors or in some instances roof coverings, it is likely that a condition survey will be requested to ensure that the Council can fully assess the impact of the proposals on the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building.
A condition survey should be carried out by a suitably qualified or experienced professional (such as a traditional carpenter joiner) who knows how to repair the historic features which you are applying to replace. It is advisable that a condition survey is provided as part of your application submission, to help prevent any delays in the application process.
