Notice of Election

The Notice of Election will be published here on Tuesday 25 March. 

Nomination paper pack

Nomination papers must be hand delivered to the office of the Deputy Returning Officer, Cotswold District Council, Trinity Road, Cirencester, GL7 1PX.

Nomination papers can be submitted between 10am and 4pm, from Tuesday 25 March up to the deadline on 4pm on Wednesday 2 April 2025.

Please contact the office if you would like a paper copy sent to you, assistance with completing the forms, or to make an appointment to submit your nomination.

Registering to vote

If you are not already registered to vote, you can do so online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Postal voting

If you would like to vote by post, you can apply online at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote

Proxy voting

If you would like to vote by proxy, you can apply online at www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote

Voter Authority Certificates

If you don’t have an acceptable form of ID to use at the polling station, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate.

At the time of an election, there will be deadlines for registration, postal and proxy voting and voter authority certificates. Dates will be published on this page and included on poll cards issued to electors.
